I can't believe you could park right in front of the colleges in '58! Oxford's a nightmare for traffic now! Really enjoyable to see it as it was. Thanks!

Beautiful: I leave half a mile from all this, down Folly Bridge...I pass these places every day...For me it looks and feels exactly thg e same as in the film...timeless...Is the woman in the film Anne Ridler, the Oxford writer, I wonder... Thanks for sharing this. It is moving...

Yes, the woman in the film is the Oxford poet Anne Ridler (d 2001). The film was taken by her husband Vivian Ridler, OUP Printer but also a keen movie buff and amateur 8mm film-maker.
