We are pioneers as we want with your help to build the world’s first archive of domestic (analogue) film and tape. The pre digital world of the twentieth century. The Internet suddenly means that we can do that and bring old films and tapes that have for so long sat in dusty attics and cardboard boxes together in one place for everyone to view and share. At the same time we can protect and preserve for ever material that is precious and priceless to so many of you but which might otherwise rot away.

And then we want you to help us Map The World ! - using your footage to help build the worlds first video map where by entering any postcode or address, or clicking on any area with your mouse you will be able to see movies from up and down the years. Leave your footprint on history by adding your footage to this historic map that will enable you to travel back in time and visit your street as it once was, the town you once holidayed in and who knows as the site grows , you may even recognise people you once knew and get back in touch with them again. But you don´t have to make your films available for all to see. If you have films that are private to you - like the birth of a child or some other intimate moment that’s fine. Click here for access to a VAULT for your own viewing or to especially invited guests, i.e. family and friends.

But first of all – we´re hoping that you will be dusting down those old film reels or vhs cassettes that never get viewed and make you think that is such a waste and deciding to upload them onto reelintime.com.

First then you need to get them converted to a digital format which can be complicated and involve you in a lot of fiddling around. By using our conversion process we will take all that hassle away for you. Click on CONVERT to take you through step by step what you have to do.

Shortly, if you so wish, you will be able to make money out of your films by trading them with other users or making them available for broadcasters to view and possibly buy usage rights for tv documentaries etc. Got some special footage of a landmark occasion?
