We provide a straightforward conversion service — send your cine films (8mm or Super8) or VHS videos to us, and we'll convert them into digital format for you. We'll send you a DVD with your digitised films, and we'll also upload them into your private screening room on reelintime.com. There you can choose which films you want to put into the archive or your vault.
To find out more about converting your films, go to the conversion pages.
If you want your original reels or tapes back when we've finished the conversion, we're happy to return them (although we do ask that you pay the postage on those returns).
When we convert your films into digital format, we don't put them into the reelintime.com archive — we let you do that. That way, you can choose which films to put in the Archive for everyone to see, and which films you'd rather keep in your Vault where they can only be played by invited friends. In fact, we break your films down into ten minute clips so it's easy for you to manage. You can even choose to discard the clips that you don't want to keep on the site.
Your Private Screening Room is the area where we put your converted films so that you can decide what to do with them. We'll let you know there are films waiting for you by sending you an email when the conversion has been done.
Remember that we also send you all your converted film on DVD. The Screening Room is just a convenient way to put your films on reelintime.com — we've spared you the trouble of uploading the films yourself.
